Tigh Na Cloich
As well as the day care centre at Redcastle, Nansen runs two residential centres, Fram House and Tigh Na Cloich.
Aims
Within the residential care at Tigh na Cloich, our aim it to provide a safe, secure, stimulating and caring environment whilst also respecting each person as an individual.
We strive to promote opportunities for each young adult to develop skills and plan for their own future.
Skills
The emphasis is on further development of free-time management and domestic skills, interpersonal and social skills to enhance their capabilities for progression to supported housing or independent living. Incorporated in the service is the understanding of budgeting, own shopping and cooking. All on an individual basis, with support from the staff.
Accomodation
Tigh Na Cloich is based in Muir of Ord and has similar aims and objectives as Fram House.
The accommodation is designed for 4 residents, with en-suite facilities. The building has recently been purchased and completely renovated.
Staff
The staff ratio is one to four young adults.
Tigh na Cloich, took its name from Gaelic meaning 'House on the rock'.
